I used tape measure firmly but not tight, and chose a size that matched. Fits well around the chest, the lower panels have an adjustment strap, which I ve moved in about half way. the shoulders fit nicely, I thought it would be too wide (but it wasn t). the sleeves are the perfect length ( with arms hanging straight down, some of my hands are covered, but when i bend elbow hands fully exposed). Thick leather
