The instructions weren't for the faint hearted but I followed them as best as I could and I managed to get it to reset. So pleased to have avoided throwing away a perfectly working printer unnecessarily and shame on Epson (& probably most other printer manufacturers) for this underhanded practice. Thank you for this listing.

I highly recommend to use this if your old printer is giving this error. I don't use my printer much and it's over 10 years old, with this you don't have to buy a new printer.

C.d. arrived very quickly, and i realised i made a mistake, i'd forgotten this laptop doesn't have a disc drive. I messaged the seller to ask if he could send an alternative which i was happy to pay for, as the free download on their website wouldn't work. Seller sent a link for the software, which worked. Took about 10 minutes for me to get my printer up and running again. Very low cost product, very simple to use, very good service all around.
