The Seagate ST9900805SS SAS hard drive offers an impressive performance with an average latency to 3ms for your entire system. With a sleek, 2.5-inch SFF form factor, slide this 7.23-ounce hard drive into a laptop or look for an installation kit to secure it in a desktop or all-in-one computer. An HDD that doesn’t fit can move if the system is jarred and cause permanent damage to the disk. Use the kit to set up this drive to run your small business servers. Use the Seagate Savvio SAS HDD to lower the number of systems and drives in each PC, and continue reducing your power consumption. The Seagate SAS hard drive offers 900GB of storage for shared files, and the 10K RPMs allows you to find, open, save, and perform similar operations on the system in a flash. A hard disk with 10K RPMs and a 64MB buffer cache is also ideal for gaming, quickly installing and opening software, working on complete graphic design projects, making videos, or streaming multimedia on your device. It has an average seek time of 3.7ms and an external data transfer rate of 600MBps. Even with top performance, the Seagate SAS hard drive only uses 4.4 watts while the system is idle, and 8.06 watts when it’s active. The small, 2.5-inch interface and low power consumption also make it a perfect fit for any laptop. The Seagate ST9900805SS uses a Serial Attached SCSI 2 SAS 6Gb/s interface rather than the standard SATA for a slight advantage in speed. An SAS is a thinner cable with a less bulky connector than the SATA interface. Compatible with computers running a Windows 7 or higher operating system, it’s plug-and-play. You don’t need any software, or complicated instructions to install the drive. With the Seagate, Secure Drive choices, and built-in SAS protections, the security of your data is in excellent hands.     The adapter was shipped in an anti-static bag and surrounded by bubble wrap. Great packaging! The seller included 2 FS.com transceivers that I wasn't expecting. The adapter looks brand new and is happily blinking in my server with a Noctua NF-A4x10 PWM attached to the heatsink. Thank you very much! Awesome seller.
