The first time I saw it was on a white water rafting trip. Our host gave us a snack. He had a pineapple and cut it with one of these right there on the river. I was sold.

This pineapple corer was the cat's pajamas until it broke somewhere around pineapple number 5, so it didn't really hold up. The idea is great but the quality is lacking. The problem is the two black buttons on the handle which, when pressed in, releases the handle itself from the main column that holds the cutting disk, which allows you to slide the pinapple off the column. Without these two buttons, the corer is kaput!

The packaging inside was very well done with each piece being individually wrapped so that it didn’t get damaged at all. It was great that they sent two packages instead of one because it made it so that the packages could be easily picked up and moved.
