Its core is truthful. The disparate characters that make up the Fry family are chaotic and challenging, but the bond between them is never in doubt. The episode storylines are surprising and occasionally subversive. They're also very funny.Taylor believes her life is a shambles. We see it's fun. The tone of the show is irreverent, but always affectionate.
