You would never know it if they hadn't mentioned it. The items are fragile. The original packaging provides adequate protection from what I anticipate isn't always careful handling in the UPS system. These are OEM products with a stated service life of around 90,000 hours. The products from my first purchase did last the stated life cycle. Will buy again.

The lamps arrived in good condition, but the lamps were shipped in the factory box which doesn't provide the best protection during shipment. I would have expected the extremely fragile, high value lamps to be double boxed.
