I bought 2 of these for my 253 Holden engine to keep the compression ratio up, rather than fitting the 308 size bore hole from the gaskets supplied with the gasket kit. It crushed down to 052” and I also re torqued it after a few heat cycles and found that it crushed some more, approx 1/8 of a turn from all my new head bolts. Very happy

I'm still awaiting other sellers items. The only thing I noticed was that the advertised brand of the item (Durapro) was different to that was received (Permaseal) which may be an issue if one has chosen the item based on brand if that brand has a reputation for high quality, for example. Nevertheless the item was identical to that being replaced and I would expect the quality to meet OEM standards.
