The bellows is NOT symmetric, it has an odd recessed shape on the two sides, LIKE THE ORIGINAL ONE, it was intended to fit between the verticals of the front standerd when closing the camera. The bellows stitch is ON ONE SIDE, you cannot hide it underneath. It's BETTER like this, vertical movements on this camera are far wider than horizontal ones, so they put the stiff part on the side.
