Winter Sports 3 takes players out into the cold for eight Olympic-style events, five game modes, and four levels of difficulty. Gamers can strap on skis for boardercross, freeride skiing, Alpine skiing, ski jumping, and biathlon events, lace up their skates in short-track speed skating and figure skating, or speed down the track in bobsledding. The five different game modes are highlighted by a "Career" mode in which players steadily increase their skills and earn upgrades. Other modes include "Cup," "Single Course," "Compaign," and a "Multiplayer" mode that allows up to four gamers to compete in online races or split-screen local action.
