This 2002 edition of Sierra's Hoyle Board Games features virtual versions of 18 international tabletop classics, including Backgammon, Battling Ships, Checkers, Chess, Chinese Checkers, Dominoes, Double Cross, Gravity Tiles, Mahjong Tiles, Mancala, Master Match, Pachisi, Reversi, Rummy Squares, Wordox, Word Yacht, and Yacht. Two bonus games, Backgammon and Mahjong Tiles, are also available for play on Palm OS and Windows CE PDA handhelds. Using the Facemaker feature, players can design their own representative in-game characters then challenge their friends or a variety of computer opponents. Up to four gamers can compete on the same computer and online multiplayer options are also supported. Of course, the authoritative Hoyle rulebook and strategy guide is included for reference, as well as Webster's New World College Dictionary.
