Columns are generally measured in terms of total length of the glass with joints. When this column arrived, it was a full 4 inches longer than expected. This seller appears to specify the length of the indentations with the top and bottom of the column and the joints being additional. Whether this is a bonus or a detriment is up to you; I'm neutral on it. Overall, I'd buy from this seller again.
