It doesn't say where they are made, but the quality is excellent. I do believe that the bits are hardened. They are very well ground. Only minor touch up is needed. Everything but the actual bit, is chrome plated brass. The base is a solid heavy metal, with a storage area in the middle. I don't think you can get a better deal than this set of precision screwdrivers.
