I tested it with VHS Adapter and Super VHS cassettes and they both function normally. For a new/refurbished VCR, the price is actually less expensive, in a good way. Highly recommend the seller for his/her outstanding services.

True, the remote does not work 100% but it is OK for an extra. The shipping was free (i.e. its cost is included in the price). The packaging was excellent, the item arrived quite fast (within EU) without any damage. The video recorder is working nicely.
