But I am again able to use the monitor so I am happy.

Only reason I purchased this was because of the cost. Upon arrival and unpackaging...it does come with a stand! ITEM works as stated and looks great on my PC desk! If it's in your cart or thinking of purchasing one, make the commitment and buy! You won't be disappointed!
