Collection of eight action films produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. In 'The Rock' (1996), the safety of San Francisco hangs in the balance when General Francis X. Hummel (Ed Harris) and his renegade squad of US Marines take over the abandoned Alcatraz prison and threaten to launch a poison gas attack on the city if their demands are not met. The FBI's response is to call in Stanley Goodspeed (Nicolas Cage), a nerdy weapons expert, and John Patrick Mason (Sean Connery), a former SAS man who has been in jail for the last 30 years, and send them together into the prison complex. Can this unlikely pairing prevent mass murder? In 'Armageddon' (1998), planet Earth comes under threat from an asteroid the size of Texas.

ReviewsVariety - THE ROCK - A hard-hitting, fast-moving thriller that, if anything, works overtime to make sure the audience will hang on every incident and maneuver., San Francisco Chronicle - CRIMSON TIDE - Washington has always been an appealing star, but in "Crimson Tide" we find him, in this leading man role, more convincing than ever., Time Magazine - GONE IN 60 SECONDS - For people who love their cars., Time Out - ARMAGEDDON - Crucial elements include a sterling supporting cast (Stormare as a reckless Russian cosmonaut, Thornton as Houston's pointman, Patton and Fichtner riding shotgun),, The Washington - PEARL HARBOUR - The movie's greatest accomplishment, after its extraordinary re-creation of the Day of Infamy, is the brilliance with which it understands and integrates '40s movie tropes., BBC - DEJA VU - It's Denzel himself, ambling through the nonsense with just the right degree of twinkling insouciance, who keeps you watching. Good fun., The Washington Post - PEARL HARBOUR - The movie's greatest accomplishment, after its extraordinary re-creation of the Day of Infamy, is the brilliance with which it understands and integrates '40s movie tropes., New York Times - ENEMY OF THE STATE - This much is certain: it has a hurtling pace, nonstop intensity and a stylish, appealing performance by Will Smith in his first real starring role.
Additional InformationA collection of films from American film and television producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Includes; THE ROCK, CON AIR, GONE IN 60 SECONDS, CRIMSON TIDE, DEJA VU, PEARL HARBOUR, ARMAGEDDON and ENEMY OF THE STATE. THE ROCK - The sophomore film from former music video and commercial director Michael Bay, this fast-paced action yarn featured rapid-fire editing, a cutting-edge rock soundtrack and liberal use of shots awash in a haze of burnished hues, all trademarks of producers Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer.
CON AIR - Former war hero Cameron Poe (Nicolas Cage) is sentenced to eight years in prison when he accidentally kills a man in a barroom brawl while defending his pregnant wife. When his release comes through, he's eager to see the daughter he's never met. However, Poe's original flight is delayed, so he's put aboard a flight transporting ten of the most dangerous men in the American penal system to a new high-security facility.
GONE IN 60 SECONDS - In this action thriller, a master car thief has his skills pushed to the limit. Randall "Memphis" Raines (Nicolas Cage) can steal practically any car that crosses his path. While he has done well in his life of crime, he knows that there's a short future in theft, and he wants to get out of the business. But his retirement plans are interrupted when his younger brother Kip (Giovanni Ribisi) gets in trouble with a dangerous crime boss.
CRIMSON TIDE - Two leaders with different philosophies about battle and leadership wage war with each other in this tense military thriller. Capt. Frank Ramsey (Gene Hackman) is the commanding officer of a nuclear submarine, the U.S.S. Alabama. Ramsey is a distinguished veteran near the end of his career, and he leads his men with an iron hand; as he puts it, "We're here to preserve democracy, not to practice it." Ramsey is assigned a new second-in-command, Lt. Cmmdr. Ron Hunter (Denzel Washington); Hunter is much younger than Ramsey, Harvard educated, and believes the goal of the military in the nuclear age is to prevent war, not fight it.
DEJA VU - Adrenaline-loving director Tony Scott teams with iconic action producer Jerry Bruckheimer for this high-flung sci-fi action thriller concerning a New Orleans-based maverick ATF agent named Doug Carlin (Denzel Washington) who is brought in on a top-secret government program to catch the terrorist (Jim Caviezel) responsible for a ferry bombing that kills hundreds.
PEARL HARBOUR - Ben Affleck stars as Rafe McCawley, a military pilot stationed under Jimmy Doolittle (Alec Baldwin) in New Jersey, along with his best friend from childhood, Danny Walker (Josh Hartnett). Rafe is chomping at the bit to get involved in World War II, but America has not entered the conflict, so he is forced to fight on loan to the Royal Air Force in Britain, leaving behind his beautiful girlfriend Evelyn (Kate Beckinsale).
ARMAGEDDON - Michael Bay directed this 150-million-dollar science fiction action thriller about an asteroid on a col
