The dependable, long-lasting Xerox Workcentre 109R00773 Fuser cartridge puts high-quality and crisp text back at your fingertips. Fusers are required by all laser printers in order to melt the powdery ink known as toner into the fibers of the paper, making it harder to wipe off. The toner is based on either wax or plastic, so that when the paper passes through the fuser the toner will melt onto the paper. Using toner ink is a faster and more efficient way of printing because the cost per page of a toner printer is lower than the cost per page of a traditional ink printer. Most fusers deteriorate over time as they form scratches that leave lines on the paper. Xerox Workcentre printers will then display an alert that tells you that the fuser is in need of replacing. However, this OEM Xerox Workcentre 109R00773 fuser cartridge is good for roughly 400,000 pages, depending on the size and texture of the media being printed, as well as other factors.
