However, note that when I lifted the Staub box out of the shipping box, I heard something rattling. Turns out that the ”stem” handle was loose and not tightened down, so it was allowing some movement. As a result, there are three areas where ithe stem ends rubbed through the enamel. Since these spots were not mentioned in your description, I am assuming it occurred during shipping.
