The text is easy to read and the illustrations are well-placed throughout. Tolkien originally wanted to have one book published, and this edition certainly does his iconic work justice. The red color and ring text on the side is a good touch.

The design of the book makes it unlike any other edition of LotR, so it is visually a stunning work of art, and the increased price of previous editions suggests it is also a savvy investment.

My book was still wrapped in cellophane. So, a new book just as described and as pictured. Plus it was wrapped in foam and shipped in a fresh, clean box the very next day after I purchased it. Not only did the Dunkin Bookstore offer the book for a great value, but I would consider their customer service excellent as well. Highly recommended seller!

They were packed in a very sturdy box that fit the books like a glove. When I give a positive, 5 star rating, I look for three things : 1. Did the item arrive on time? 2. Was it packed carefully, to arrive as undamaged as possible? 3. Was the item exactly as described? The books were still wrapped in their shrink wrap and were perfect. You won’t have to worry about this Seller’s reputation. It is spot on!!!
