The development of new computer-generated imagery and image transferring technologies led to 20th Century Fox and George Lucas remastering the early Star Wars movies and re-releasing them, including this third installment 'Star Wars: Episode VI, Return of the Jedi.' The release contained a widescreen version of the movie as it was seen in the theaters with remastered footage and digitally added images and characters. However, the plot of this science fiction classic remains the same. Han Solo has been frozen in carbonite and is being held by the disgusting Jabba the Hutt. A rescue is staged to save him and take down Jabba before Luke Skywalker leaves the group to continue his Jedi training. What none of them realize yet is that the Empire is constructing another massive doomsday weapon to put down the rebel alliance once and for all.
