I did that & still found the top needs to be bigger and leggings are very long in body for me (which suits me as no tight elastic, but probably not most other people). Legs close-fitting so not sure if a smaller size would work or not. So a bit of re-ordering and trials needed, but these are well worth doing that for as appear good quality. I can shorten leggings at top if I want!!
