Make sure you use a resistor to bring the internal capacitors up to 72V before hooking the unit up to the battery. I used a 100 ohm 10 Watt resistor and a couple of leads with alligator clips to do it. It only took a few seconds to charge them. Doing this will keep the surge current from sparking when connecting to the battery and causing issues with the electronics.
