The splines are too narrow on the top/ wrong pressure angle! it kills transfer case splined sleeve very quick! I can't use repair shaft, because there was too much backlash between the shaft and the transfer case splined sleeve. In picture you can see the original BMW X5 drive shaft splines compared to repair shaft.

Nicely machined,the diameter of the splines and profile was perfect,diameter of the body that slides Into the prop was a tight fit but one the coating was removed to prep for welding it was a very good almost airtight fit. Hopefully it lasts but see no reason why not. A++++
