Ark: Survival Evolved takes the sandbox resource collection and building of Minecraft and adds dinosaurs and advanced technology. Players begin on a mysterious prehistoric island and they must quickly find sources of food and water, and create a shelter to protect them from the ever-changing elements. More than 100 dinosaur species roam the landscape, and gamers can hunt, tame, and ride most of them to explore the vast wilderness regions. An extensive crafting system lets gamers create better tools, and they can eventually confront the final boss and learn the island's purpose.
