Luffy and his Straw Hat crew must fight off enemies and compete in fierce boss battles. You can play up to nine different characters from the Straw Hat crew, including the aforementioned Luffy and other favorites such as Nami, Sanji, and Nico Robin. On top of all the character choices, there are even new characters made specifically for this release such as Pato and the big boss "Red." Both were designed by the series creator and fit in seamlessly with the rest of the team.Each playable character has their own unique combos and attacks, and the gameplay almost resembles modern MMOs. This means that playing as Nami is a completely different experience than playing as Luffy. Characters can also be dressed up in different outfits as seen in the series. The combat balances out RPG and action elements. You get bonuses for mixing up moves, and defense is just as important as offense. There is a parry system available in the combat with a one button blocking feature.The game plays much like the previous installment, making use of butterfly hunting and fishing. It can be played with up to four players on the Nintendo 3DS. There are 11 stages available to play in this adventure, and each one is packed with enemies and collectibles. With tons of character options and side quests, fans can easily sink hours into this immersive setting. The Day One edition of Unlimited World Red can be the ultimate experience for any fan. This edition comes with DLC, including another quest and new costumes. The fun doesn't have to end once the credits roll. Unlimited World Red also has local only co-op available for those who want to share the fun. This lets you and your friends catch bugs, square off, or compete in mini contests.
