Scooby and the gang solve supernatural mysteries in "Scooby-Doo Mystery Mayhem." This PS2 game follows the exciting adventures of Daphne, Fred, Shaggy, Velma, and everyone's favorite canine sleuth. For gamers who love third-person formats and action-adventure games, this Sony PlayStation 2 video game is sure to be irresistible. It combines the hijinks, frights, mayhem, and spooky mysteries that made the original television series so much fun.The game begins with the characters learning of a new supernatural threat: shadows have started scaring students at the nearby Hambridge University. Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, and the rest of the team start searching for the truth behind these ghostly night terrors while meeting with all kinds of spooky creatures on their adventures. Shaggy and Scooby are tasked with holding on to the "Tome of Doom," a magical book wanted by all manner of monsters. To hold on to the "Tome of Doom," the characters must outrun all of the ghosts searching for it. Over the course of the story, the characters travel through a range of exciting settings, including the university library, a movie set, a creepy laboratory, a bayou, and the Wild West. With each new setting in these PlayStation 2 games, a new mystery unfolds, forcing the "Scooby-Doo" gang to encounter new, terrifying frights. The bosses that players meet as they solve the mystery are varied and compelling. There's the Fake Ghost, a spooky specter that tries to attack players in the library. The Red Knight haunts the movie studio, and the Giant Dust Devil wreaks havoc in the Wild West. Gamers also get attacked by the Big Zombie and do battle with the Giant Fire Ghost, the final boss in this game. The gameplay in this Sony PS2 game involves puzzle solving, clue collecting, and monster trapping. As gamers progress through the five levels, they are expected to find every important clue, seal all of the monsters inside the level, and complete all stated missions. The levels, which range from The Haunting of Hambridge to Hi-Tech Terror, take players through a variety of exciting and fright-filled settings. Throughout the levels, players collect sandwich ingredients. If players collect enough, these ingredients unlock hidden minigames. When playing this PS2 game, gamers maychoose to play as Scooby-Doo or as Shaggy. Both characters have unique abilities, and gamers switch between the two throughout the game. The title also features the Cool Meter and Radar. The Cool Meter drops whenever the characters get scared, and Scooby Snacks help players regain lost cool points. The Radar feature alerts players to incoming enemies, ghosts, and frights, ensuring that players aren’t caught off guard by things that go bump in the night. The "Scooby-Doo" video games have a rating of E for Everyone, making them perfect for players of all ages.
