When received, I found the item was well packaged and had not received any damage during shipment. I definitely would buy from this seller again.

The books themselves survived so with a partial refund off the table I decided to keep them. Not too smelly either. In the future I advise shrink wrapping the more flexible books sets so they do not tear or split in transit.
