Product Information

Ron Guth

The 1883 Dime is a common coin thanks to a large mintage of over 7.6 million pieces. This means that hundreds of Mint State examples can be found in both MS63 and MS64. On the high end, there exists a small number of MS68 examples which are rather extraordinary coins. In 1995, a high-grade 1883 Dime sold for a record price of $31,375 but, since then, none have sold for over $10,000. The best examples we have seen are either frosty white or toned in amazing colors.

Dime researcher, Gerry Fortin has identified 21 different die varieties for this date.

Product Identifiers
