He put down styro, then a tight blanket of bubble wrap; note photo! Shipping was prompt. The barometer was exactly as described--it's a beautiful vintage one w/ cool, scientific cream face. As for value--excellent value. For some $125 I've got a primo instrument that's better made than much of the junk on Amazon. Plus, 100x the history. I'll buy again from this seller.
