From the estate of a Cape Ann artist, found unmounted and folded among a stack of sketches. Original Antique Oil Paining Sketch of a female nude figure, partially painted with artist's further markups on the painting. This may have been the oil sketch for finished painting, Deep impressionistic colors develop the shape of the neck and head, the flow from the arm and shoulder into the collarbones. Strong skilled painting with a distinct Boston School feel. Most oil sketches read as unfinished, this reads as a work in the making and can hang on its own. Image size is 23" tall x 17" wide, full canvas is 26" tall x 21" wide. The surface shows wrinkles, folds and marks from the artist over and under the paint. Painted as a sketch, so not a fully developed, finished surface. Ready to be stretched, framed and hung with pride”

Very happy to have. Thay said......Should not have cost over nine dollars to send something that barely weighs anything and was wrapped in bubble wrap and perfectly secured without the extra cost. EBay shipping labels are $4.63. So the extra $5 made no sense. Either way i'm sure the seller was just trying to make sure that it was protected as much as possible. Very cool edition to my penn state den.
