If you have access to the tools required to remove the material, it s fine. Just a heads up to others looking at this: IT DOES NOT WORK OUT OF THE BOX WITH THE CLOCK SPRING. EDIT: After speaking with the company, they have modified the description to contain my complaint with the product. Their customer support is excellent and I can recommend them.
