The metal thickness is right, and the stamping is very nice, right down to the small, folded tab near the starter motor opening. This cover is a fit match for the GM plastic cover P/N 14073768 and will bolt right up with no modifications to a small block Chevy with a 12.75" flexplate. My example is a 1969 El Camino with the original engine.

After reading feedback from other Chevy Guys, I decided to purchase one. I will have to wait till warmer weather to install and or trim to fit. If it fits with no rubbing its a win win !
