Buy-It-Now Listings: Unlike an active auction where a buyer enters a proxy bid and may not be online to complete payment the moment a listing ends, Buy-It-Now listings end as soon as the Buyer completes the buy-it-now. Since a buy-it-now bidder is online when he or she ends the listing with buy-it-now, we require that the Buyer complete payment immediately. Failure to do so will result in the item being considered unpaid and dealt with accordingly (see “Unpaid Items” section below). If you have already committed to a buy-it-now and for any reason are unable to complete payment right away, please contact us immediately to discuss this.
Layaway Terms: Minimum 25% non-refundable deposit required. Balance under $1000 - 30-days same as cash, $1000-$2000 - 60-days same as cash, $2000-$3000 - 90-days same as cash, $3000 and up custom terms available. Any money or other consideration is received as partial payment and will be forfeited if the balance due is not paid as agreed within the allotted time. Any layaway that exceeds the above-specified time periods, or has other custom terms, is subject to a 1.5% service charge per month on any unpaid balance from the date of sale. The minimum monthly payment is 20% of the purchase price unless we agree in advance to custom terms. Deposit must be received within 72 hours.
Escrow: Provided that the Buyer sets it up and pays all associated fees, and with our prior approval, payment for any item we sell can be processed through eBay s approved escrow service, Escrow.com.
International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the Buyer s responsibility. Please check with your country s customs office to determine what (if any) these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as gifts - USA and International government regulations prohibit such behavior. While we must declare the value at exactly the purchase amount and not as a gift, there has been a trend lately for international buyers to have a friend or relative located in the USA purchase an item from us, and then forward it to their friend or relative as a gift, which is perfectly legal.
International Payments: Payment methods for international transactions totaling more than $1,000.00 US must be approved by us in advance. Any item that is classified as restricted or prohibited for the destination country according to the USPS Postal Explorer, International Mail Manual, Index of Countries and Localities, is always shipped at the Buyer’s sole risk and the payment method must be approved by us in advance.
Shipping: No hidden fees. We only charge the actual cost of shipping at published retail rates with delivery confirmation from zip code 61856. We take pride in everything we sell, have extensive experience with shipping, and personally package every item we ship extremely well ourselves to ensure a safe arrival to your destination. Sometimes it takes longer, but normally we ship items within one business day after full payment has cleared, often the same day. We do not ship items listed as “Local Pickup Only”. We reserve the right to hold any shipment until we can confirm full payment has cleared. We will ship to an APO/FPO, U.S. Territory, and Post Office Box address provided any delivery confirmation as required herein is available to that location or if payment is by wire transfer (if in an eBay category that eBay allows such payment method). Combined Shipping: We are happy to combine shipping if you purchase more than one item from us. Combined shipping cost is the actual cost of shipping based on the total combined shipping weight, package dimensions, and delivery destination at carrier published rates. No hidden fees or deceitful surcharges! Since we normally ship immediately upon receipt of completed payment, if you wish to bid on or purchase other items from us, please go ahead and pay for your first purchase as usual and simply notify us to hold shipping until all your purchases are complete. This way, we can adjust the shipping fee on invoices for your subsequent purchase(s) and often even eliminate additional shipping costs altogether.
Insurance: If the cost of insurance is factored into the shipping rate quoted in this listing, it is done so at the actual cost (no hidden fees) and clearly disclosed near the top of the listing. Delivery in described physical condition is not guaranteed without the Buyer purchasing shipping insurance. To prevent fraud, we document every order shipped via photos, video, and/or a confidential mark strategically placed in an inconspicuous location on all items.
Delivery Confirmation: Third-party commercial carrier delivery confirmation shall be sufficient evidence that any shipment has been delivered to the Buyer, whether or not acknowledged by the Buyer. The Buyer must provide a secure environment at an eBay or PayPal-confirmed delivery address location, or make special arrangements with the carrier to pick the shipment up in person (held at the Post Office or carrier terminal for recipient pickup).
Local Pickup: No handling fee for local pickup, which we welcome and encouraged by appointment at our shop in Monticello, Illinois (halfway between Champaign and Decatur, Illinois, 1 hour east of Springfield, Illinois, and 2 hours from Chicago, St. Louis, and Indianapolis). Since we have several locations, contact us for the exact pickup address. Full payment, including any storage fee due, must be cleared well in advance as referenced above or be paid in cash (U.S. currency) at the time of local pickup. The Buyer must provide a current, valid, government-issued photo identification (ID card) that clearly shows the Buyer’s entire face and an ID number, containing the Buyer’s correct legal name, and current address that matches the Buyer’s registered contact information on file with eBay and/or PayPal, along with a printed copy of the eBay 6-digit Local Pickup code and QR code that you received from eBay when you completed your payment, and sign a statement of items received. Local pickup hours are Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Central time, by appointment at 15-minute intervals, and must be scheduled during normal business hours (M-F 9-5) at least 72 hours in advance. The Buyer is also welcome to make his own transportation arrangements, and we will provide coordination with the Buyer s carrier for pickup.
Storage Fee: $20.00 per calendar day for any item that weighs more than 50 pounds or that has any length, width, or height dimension greater than 20 inches. Five (5) days storage included with every sale at no charge. This storage fee does not apply to items purchased on a pre-arranged layaway, provided the payments are made on time as specified above and all other layaway terms and conditions are fulfilled by the Buyer within the allotted time.
Freight Shipping: Cartons measuring longer than 108 inches, more than 165 inches total (length of longest dimension + 2x width + 2x height), or weighing more than 150 pounds (70 pounds for a residential delivery address) must ship via motor freight, freight charges collect, FOB/FCA Monticello, Illinois, with insurance and adult signature delivery confirmation. Since we have accounts with Yellow Transportation, Con-Way Transportation, (and D & D express for delivery inside Illinois), the same discounted rates we receive pass those same savings on to the Buyer. The Buyer is also welcome to make his own transportation arrangements, and we will provide coordination with the Buyer s carrier for pickup.
International Shipping: As we have for more than 46 years, we ship internationally to destinations all around the world. Since we have no way of knowing in advance where a buyer is located, the Buyer is required to know their own country s import restrictions, rules, taxes, available delivery services, and eligible payment methods that meet our requirements as stated herein before purchasing from us. If required, the Buyer is responsible for clearing the item for export from the United States of America, import to the destination country, and compliance with any additional rules or regulations imposed by any country whose borders the shipment will cross. If an item is restricted or prohibited from importation to the Buyer’s country by any government regulation, the Buyer is solely responsible for arranging transportation FOB/FCA our location in Monticello, Illinois 61856. In some countries, buyers will be required to pay additional customs brokerage fees, duties, taxes, tariffs, or additional local delivery fees imposed by foreign governments, shipping companies, or third-party freight forwarders or handlers upon receipt of shipment and in addition to the transaction amount. If regulations require us to prepare export documents, the Buyers outside the USA will be assessed an additional $20.00 document charge. International Buyers must add a $.01 handling fee for each $1.00 of total payment (unless payment is by wire or mail) (if in an eBay category that eBay allows such a payment method). The value of all items being shipped will be declared at exactly the purchase amount and not as a gift. Buyers located outside the USA must select and pay for a shipping service that provides detailed tracking information and adult signature proof of delivery confirmation that can be tracked online. We also need the recipient’s contact phone number for the shipping documents. Since international shipments usually take longer than domestic deliveries and customs clearance sometimes further delays the delivery, to prevent misunderstanding or negative feedback, international buyers must acknowledge the estimated time in transit for the selected shipping service with their payment or through the eBay message forwarding service. If the cost of insurance is not specified or added by the shipping calculator, please wait until you receive an eBay invoice from us through eBay to pay for your international purchase. Since online tracking and/or full value insurance is not offered by some shipping services to all international destinations, shipping outside the USA will be restricted to those carriers offering these services if required by the terms contained herein.
Damage in Transit: Delivery of the item in good condition is the responsibility of the carrier. In the unlikely event an item is damaged during shipment, the Buyer will be responsible for notifying and filing any damage reports required by a shipping company. Should any carton arrive in damaged condition, immediately bring the condition to the delivery person s attention, and open the carton and inspect the contents while in his/her presence. If the contents are found to be damaged, immediately notify the carrier of damage and preserve all contents and original packing materials for inspection. Do not return items to us if found to be damaged in shipment, as doing so will void the shipping insurance. Contact us with all the details of the damage immediately. We will contact the carrier and file a damage claim, and they will contact you to coordinate an inspection and/or retrieve the shipment. Claims for goods damaged in transit can take up to six weeks. As soon as the carrier completes the inspection process, pays the claim, and/or returns any undamaged portion of the shipment to us, we will replace the item if we can, and if not, we will issue an immediate refund.
Privacy: Information provided to us will never be provided to any third party unless you give us express permission to do so. We respect your privacy and do not partake in the practice of selling or distributing buyer information for any reason. We will never use your personal or business information in any way that violates your privacy. When you provide any information to us, it will only be used in such a manner as has been made clear to you, with your acknowledgment and prior permission.
Money-Back Guarantee: If you do not receive the item as described in this listing, if we can replace the item, we will. If not, we will issue you a full refund, including all shipping charges upon return of the item. Any other item purchased will be subject to deduction of shipping charges in both directions plus the standard 25% processing & inspection fee. Any purchase canceled before it is shipped is only subject to the 25% processing fee.
