Double vinyl LP pressing. When the prevailing guitar jingle of 'Mr. Jones' cascaded over radio in the early 90s, it was a sure sign that the Counting Crows were a musical force to be reckoned with. Their 1993 debut album, August and Everything After, burst at the seams with both dominant pop harmonies and rich, hearty ballads, all thanks to lead singer Adam Duritz. The lone guitar work of 'Mr. Jones' coupled with the sweet, in-front pull of Duritz's voice kicked off the album in full force. The album cover depicts handwritten lyrics to a song called "August and Everything After", but the band decided against featuring the song on the album of the same name; it was not until over a decade later that it was played as part of one of their live concerts.

    Great seller and item exactly as described. Buy without hesitation. My ire is reserved for EBay international postage and Royal Mail. Despite not being that cheap, it took nearly three weeks for the parcel to arrive…and took RM over a week to get it to me once it was in the UK. At two points it seemed to disappear into a black hole. If you have any other international postage option…use it!

For me, this SACD is the best digital representation of this album, revealing detail that I have not heard before. For example, on the track “Kid Charlemagne,” the horns have terrific extension, and I heard detail that I had not heard before. Vocals & instrumentation are clear and well-defined throughout.     "The track "Kid Charlemagne,"" should have been "the track, "The Caves of Altamira,"" For the track "Kid Charlemagne," I meant to compliment (to my ears) the extra definition of the guitar.
