Coming more than a decade after Tekken Tag Tournament, gamers can once again engage in team-based 3D Fighting with nearly every character in the history of the franchise in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. There are more than 50 available fighters, each with new arsenals including tag-throws and tag-combos, and the new Fight Lab mode allows players to customize their character's appearance and moves. Up to four people can compete in tag-team fights or the Ultimate Team Battle mode, while solo gamers can hone their skills in Practice mode or the classic Arcade mode.<br><br>Exclusive to the Wii U release is a special Mushroom Battle mode that includes a variety of mushroom power-ups similar to those found in Nintendo's Super Mario Bros. series. During this mode players can dress their fighters in a number of Nintendo-themed costumes taken from such game series' as the aforementioned Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Metroid. Additionally, Mushroom Battle contains remixed Super Mario Bros. music and sound effects as well. The Wii U edition also features the return of Tekken Ball and the ability to program and activate special moves on the controller's touch screen.
