Reviews
"Aquaculture Pond Fertilization has shortcomings, but the book is nonetheless a useful addition to the fish-farming literature. It will probably be of most interest to those involved in carrying out research into the farming of freshwater finfish and may be of value to practicing fish culturists, and the book also has something to offer college and university students taking degree programs in aquatic biology and aquaculture." ( Journal of Aquaculture , 1 September 2012), "Another standout from the creators of a line of perennial favorites." -- Publishers Weekly , starred review "Even after more than 35 years, [Carle's] style still radiates the same remarkable elemental beauty." -- The New York Times Book Review "Carle's trademark paint and cut-out style and Martin's rhythmic and repetitive text full of animal observations engages little ones and keeps them turning the pages." -- San Francisco Chronicle "Carle's use of negative space and of sculptural line conveys not only the essence of each animal but also the energy of its movement. A fine read-aloud with a subtle, yet clear, message." -- Booklist "The bright collage images and lilting language bring the animals to life on the page." -- School Library Journal, Carle's trademark paint and cut-out style and Martin's rhythmic and repetitive text full of animal observations engages little ones and keeps them turning the pages., "Another standout from the creators of a line of perennial favorites." -- Publishers Weekly, starred review "Even after more than 35 years, [Carle's] style still radiates the same remarkable elemental beauty." -- The New York Times Book Review "Carle's trademark paint and cut-out style and Martin's rhythmic and repetitive text full of animal observations engages little ones and keeps them turning the pages." -- San Francisco Chronicle "Carle's use of negative space and of sculptural line conveys not only the essence of each animal but also the energy of its movement. Synopsis
The publication of Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See? and Baby Bear, Baby Bear, What Do You See? completes the bear book beginning reader series. Now, children can read all four books on their own in this special format. With the important pre-reading concepts of rhyme, rhythm, and repetition, these picture books have long been used as beginning readers. The new 6 x 9 trim and classic beginning reader layout create a more "grown up" version to read by themselves. Complete with a letter from master educator Laura Robb, and with fun reading activities added, these new versions of Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See? and Baby Bear, Baby Bear, What Do You See? are certain to appeal to a new age group and find an even wider audience. Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See? is a 2004 Bank Street - Best Children's Book of the Year.

- e***- (122)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Mes pasadoCompra verificadaUnfortunately I received a damaged book, the item and the package both were damaged and it was clearly evident its appearance that it happened during transit. The seller was very understanding and gave me a full refund for the damaged book, though it was no fault of their own. Other than the damage, the book was as described, the quality and condition aside from the damaged spot was like new. The cost of the book was reasonable. I would definitely purchase from the seller again.
- v***v (2101)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaAlthough this book was not as described, with no picture of it in the listing, the seller communicated well and quickly gave me a full refund while letting me keep it. The minimal packaging left the book a bit vulnerable (typical for ThriftBooks), but it did arrive safely and timely. As usual, it’s hit or miss with this seller, but often times you can get great values, and their customer service is always very good. Many other sellers with millions of transactions don’t even communicate. How to chalk talk, by Harlan Tarbell (#197064259889)
