SynopsisMost live their lives within the vast worlds of the Pasdon, paying little or no attention to its presence. They even veil the destruction it brings with false oblivion, and refuse to reach out for the only thing that can save them. Years earlier, a powerful entity emerged from the infinite depths of the Pasdon and into the Known World. Immediately, it began subduing cities, building armies, and erecting temples to receive worship from those who had been conquered. Neither sword nor magic could even threaten to harm the self-appointed emperor. Now, it is positioned to finalize its control of the Known World by seizing the remaining three kingdoms of the Northern Continent. However, when Vastimus-the High Commander of the Emperor's military-flees, progress is halted, and a search to retrieve the traitor ensues. He joins a ragtag group of youths, who had been mysteriously ripped away from their own worlds only days earlier. Among them is Luke, whose powers may rival those of Vastimus, and a beautiful young woman, Laxa, whose magic is rare compared to the normal populace. She also seems to be the only one capable of quelling the fiery temper of Luke. The group finds themselves being used like pieces of a game by forces too fearsome to oppose. With cryptic instructions as their only guidance, they are compelled to overcome their weaknesses and eventually to face those who would call themselves gods. Through the midst of their circumstances, a light begins to reveal the veil of the Pasdon.
