Lavishly illustrated with more than 220 color photographs (showing over 620 tools and materials) taken by Jacqueline's husband, David Hawker, it gives beginning and intermediate flytyers a reference for the natural coloration and appearance of hackles and winging materials - both feather and fur. In addition, it looks at tying threads, hooks, tinsels, and man-made products for bodies and wings, and discusses ways to sink and float flies.
