Synopsis
Philippe Parreno (born 1964) undermines the notion of the discrete, ownable, copyrighted artwork through collaborations with artists such as Douglas Gordon and Pierre Huyghe, performances, dialogue and the cultivation of exhibitions as real-time encounters. This superbly produced monograph, designed by M/M, offers the first substantial inventory of Parreno's work since the late 1980s, covering his multifarious production from film (such as the famous Zidane, a 21st Century Portrait , made with Douglas Gordon, 2006) to spectacle ( Il Tempo del Postino , with Hans Ulrich Obrist, 2007). It also includes critical and fictional texts by Maria Lind, Charles Ars ne-Henry, Enrique Juncosa and Simon Critchley, as well as an interview by Hans Ulrich Obrist., Philippe Parreno (born 1964) undermines the notion of the discrete, ownable, copyrighted artwork through collaborations with artists such as Douglas Gordon and Pierre Huyghe, performances, dialogue and the cultivation of exhibitions as real-time encounters. It explores problematics such as memory, presence, real time, and narration, and covers his multiform production, from his early performance to cinema (Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait, with Douglas Gordon, 2006), and spectacle (Il Tempo del Postino, with Hans Ulrich Obrist, 2007). Edited by Christine Macel with the assistance of Karen Marta, this book offers the first complete list of works and chronology, fully illustrated and accompanied by notices. It also includes critical and fictional texts by Maria Lind, Charles Arsène-Henry, Enrique Juncosa, Beatrix Ruf, and Simon Critchley as well as an interview by Hans Ulrich Obrist. Designed by M/M, the book is published with the Centre Pompidou, Paris; the Kunsthalle Zürich, Zurich; the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin; and the CCS, Bard College, New York. English text.

- s***r (193)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaThis was a very hard to find (at a reasonable price) item, so it made me happy to find on ebay with a seller who made the purchase effortless! Shipped the same day and arrived in packaging that proved the seller cared a lot about ensuring it was safe. There was no variation from the description - it was exactly what I wanted!
- n***y (36)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Mes pasadoCompra verificadaBooks arrive as described and in a timely fashion. Would have wanted slightly better packaging given it was three books together being transported internationally (bubble wrap, a slightly bigger box, etc) but transaction was smooth.
- b***n (290)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaAs described, fast shipping couldve used some cardboard to keep soft cover book sturdy from bending or beating up corners only because sometimes postage handling can be rough but it shipped fine and didn't get roughed up in the mail so item was uneffected, the item still came in good condition bubble envelope. Everything was great! Thank you!
