"REMF" is an attempt to portray this side as clearly and as straight forward as possible. Hopefully the work provides some humor while it looks into the emotions of a young man in a rear position. I was a naive and provincial North Dakota farmboy. This is a memoir of getting sent to a country at war in 1969 and my thoughts and impressions and experiences of the year I spent there. It's a tale of the sixties, Vietnam, friends both American and Vietnamese, and loss of innocence.Over 40 photos provide a flavor of the time, the town, and the ties.
