Installation was easy with just four screws and a pencil to line everything up and then you just screw everything in. There is a little lip towards the back of the mount to keep it from sliding both ways and only allows for one way removal. With the cables connected, it is a secure fit since I have all of my wires zip glued to my standing desk also
