The original description stated "new in box", however, when the seller saw that it was no longer in it's original box as shown, he immediately contacted me to let me know this, and to ask if I still wanted to purchase the item. This is an honest, conscientious, seller who was willing to refund my money if I no longer wanted the item. But I did, and when I received it, it was packed very well in another box and came without being damaged.
