It has a heavy chemical smell to it. The strap also is fraying a tiny bit in the holes punched out, on the underside. The strap is almost as if it were compressed leather fibers, if that makes sense. Your comment makes no sense, it was handmade the day you puchased it. The edges are hand sealed and coated to prevent moisture absorbtion into the leather. Your lack of knowlege concerning real leather is obvious. The reason you needed to purchase a new strap is the PU plastic strap that came with your bag fell apart. You gave me a rude response. I do know my leather, there is such a thing as compressed leather. Your response speaks volumes. I would NEVER recommend your services. I highly doubt my leather bag will fall apart before these cheap straps, because the bag is nearly 20 years old and still looks good. An honest seller would not be so aggressive.

To my great surprise, the seller had refunded my money and never asked for the item to be returned. I ordered a shorter strap and it worked out perfectly. I ended up with 2 straps for the price of one. Excellent quality and reasonable price. Now I know who to get my replacement straps from. Also I’ve recommended this seller to my fam already.
