That's really interesting and so I bought one. It boots and works fine with CPU and RAM installed. It uses Intel GM965 chipset so fully compatible with Win XP, plus it has PCIe and PCI slots, just perfect for my use case.

Unfortunately the switch would stop forwarding packets after about 24-36hrs (not an error that a standard bench test would reveal) so I had to return it. The measure of any vendor is their returns process, and this vendor was excellent - quick and easy, with great communications at each step of the way, and a prompt refund. Overall, a good experience from a vendor I would recommend.
