I'm 5'11" and average build and Large was a little tight at the back and shoulders, so perhaps opt for a larger size than you would do normally. Untried in rainfall, but what I can say is that the material "doesn't breathe", so on a warm day, I sweated profusely when dog-walking and wearing only a t-shirt underneath. But it's summer, so take that on board!
