Unfortunately, the brushed cracked right at the holes that were put trough them to allow for the wire/clip that is used during the alternator assembly to hold the brushes back. Once I released the wire/clip to allow the brushes to contact the stator (?) rings, the brushes broke right at the location of the holes. It's been a while since I have worked on a motor of alt, but I have never seen holes like these put in brushed.Respuesta de s-and-d-repair- Votos a los que ha respondido el vendedor s-and-d-repair.- Votos a los que ha respondido el vendedor s-and-d-repair.They started putting the holes in the brushes in the 1980's when they came out with the 12SI. This was so they could use longer brushes in the same brush holder. If you don't like the holes, just grind them down past the hole and they will be the same length as the old type 10SI brush. The brushes were broken because you turned the rotor before you pulled the pin out. the rotor caught the pin and broke them. you're just luck it didn't break the brush holder.

Urbana Oh to Hamilton Oh is less than 80 miles of which 90% is interstate and the projected time of less than 1 hour and 20 min. Package was shipped on Friday and was delivered the next Wed after routing thru Columbus twice and Cincinnati twice. This is the fourth package that got within 30 miles and then went (in route) this last 4 months! Great job dejoy!
