2009 two CD collection. The Ultimate Bee Gees is a career retrospective featuring the group's many hits and chart-topping singles, performances of a selection of hit songs they wrote for others, and liner notes by Tim Rice. From their early days as a teenage beat combo in Australia to their chart-topping rise during the Disco era, The Bee Gees were always one step ahead of musical trends. Even a Bee Gees backlash in the late '70s didn't kill their spirit or legacy and the trio continued to release successful albums and tour. Now, 50 years after the young Gibb brothers first started making music (and six years after the death of Maurice), their popularity is at an all-time high. This double disc set contains 40 of their most popular tracks including 'How Can You Mend a Broken Heart', 'Stayin' Alive', 'Nights on Broadway', 'I Started a Joke', 'More Than a Woman' and many others.
