“Twister” is the story of two storm chasers played by Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton whose main focus is on researching tornadoes. They are working on a plan to perfect their instrument to gather data from the inside of a tornado funnel. The story follows Helen Hunts character from her childhood fascination with tornadoes after her own father was killed by one, to twenty-seven years later when she teams up with her ex-husband to perfect her creation of DOROTHY, a data collection system, to finally see what goes on in the center of a tornado.
