After opening the package, the head units inside were wrapped thrice in bubble wrap, and then newspaper. The box was well cushioned, and the units appeared just about identically to the photos listed. I was a little hesitant at first given some of the reviews in the past, but I'm very glad I ordered from vinta_electron.

I already knew one of the knobs was missing from the pictures, so "it is in relatively good condition" was farfetched. The freq button was smashed in during transport. But, electrically it worked fine. Since it also had VHF/UHF option, the value of my purchase was justified. To his credit, FedEx delivered it in two days, the fastest delivery I ever had from Japan. I'm a happy customer.

After a LOT of back and forth he shipped the radio gear, it got here in ONE DAY (from Japan!), perfect packing job and it all works as it should. If you are thinking about buying something from this seller, expect something similar. Why he does this, I have no idea. Proceed at your own risk. He did come through for me. YMMV.
