I gave this as a gift to my son in law, he loves it. It blows very easily, has a reed in it. It does have a higher tone, but that is ok. Very good quality war horn. Thank you. Note about the seller- seller is FANTASTIC. My item was shipped promptly, seller is kind, and easy to communicate with. 100% recommend A+++
