This halter has velcro to adjust around the chest, but I have set it to the size I need and just slide it off and on, his head, as needed. Hence, no ripping sound. It has one plastic clip closure on the side. I bought the XS size for a 9 lb dog and it fits perfect. It appears to be well made with solid stitching. Excellent value for the quality!
